The Bread & Butter Project

This was an attempted visit. Bit of advice, it's worth checking if the social enterprise is open to the public before you go looking for it in search of sourdough and pastries. This place was worth the trip though. The Bread & Butter Project is Australia's first social enterprise wholesale bakery, training people seeking asylum to become qualified bakers and find meaningful employment.

They are now stocked in over 200 cafes, restaurants and delis across the greater Sydney region. So while I missed out on the chance to taste their baked goods last time round, I will hopefully get to try some soon enough - can't wait!
